10,000 completed, another 48,000 LED streetlights to light up Gurugram road by June

   By the June 15 all dark roads in Gurugram of India will embrace LED street lights to address long-standing problem of dark night. Starting from last year amounting to 10,000 LED street lights have been mounted, and remaining 48,000 lights will be on the way to be completed by mid-June, estimated.

   As a part of whole Rs 96-crore project, at least 48,000 more LED street lights will be mounted across all 36 civic wards, Huda sectors and industrial areas in the city. these lights will deliver brighter light and visual effect. Increasing illumination will provide nighttime visibility and peace-of-mind for the residents as light helps to deter suspicious behavior.

   This project will convert all 250 watt high pressure sodium lamps to 110 watt LED street lights, which help reduce power consumption by almost 55%. The project has been responsible for nectar10 years over warranty and maintenance.

   These LED street lights feature dimming function. That is, when no traffic movement at night, light will be dim to save unnecessary power consumption; while traffic movement is busy, the brightness has been heightened to ensure enough brightness for vehicles.
