Street light upgrade served by LED street lighting manufacturers begins for Wichita

   Westar Energy is making a plan to replace street lights in Wichita metro area with more energy efficient LEDs served by LED street lighting manufacturers. The new lights will improve public safety and improve visibility for traffic movements’ participants.

   Jeff Longwell, the mayor of Wichita, point out that they welcome the new lights served by LED street lighting manufacturers, which extend life span of the lights and save more money, reduces crime and improves visibility for our streets. And it is estimated that thousands of lights will be upgraded to new LEDs, bring benefits that covers:
a.Better visibility. LED lights deliver bright visual effect for traffic movements and make colors easier to identify at night.
b.Lower energy consumption. LEDs deliver more and more energy conversation compared to traditional products.
c.Longer life span. Long life up to 30,000 hours for LEDs, ten times than traditional HPS light and save electricity more than 70%, along with low maintenance costs. d.Protect environment. Different from traditional high pressure sodium lamp containing a great deal mercury vapor, which will release to the environment if broken,       Chinese street light is free from the previous substance. It is environment-friendly and green.

   New streetlight shift by LED Street lighting manufacturers will be finished in four to six months. And more and more energy bills will be cut with new LEDs application.
