More than 10 thousand LED street lights illuminate Huangyan district

   Ms. Zhang, a resident nearby Huangyan-based shuangjiang community, who usually takes a stroll around in Yongning Park at dusk, said that new-installed LED street lights are brighter and softer than before. Also, these lights provide nighttime visibility and peace-of-mind for the people moving around.

   In recent days, Huangyan district has finished LED street lights conversion project on the main road and major urban area with more than 10 thousand LED street lights to replace previous old type incandescent lamps. This move directly cuts considerably huge energy consumption and save tremendous money for local residents.

   It is universally acknowledged that LED street lights consume less energy, save massive electricity, last longer than before, have a lower glitch rate compared to traditional high pressure sodium lamps and incandescent lamps. Chen shaorong, the vice director of municipal infrastructure construction center, expressed that the upgrading move mainly transfers previous large-energy-consumption 250w, 500w incandescent lamps with energy-efficient 50 – 180w LED street lights.

   This project is put into practice with EMC (Energy Management Contracting) mode, which essences to reduce energy costs to pay the full cost of the energy saving project operational modalities. After current LED street lights putting into practice, the project will improve the utilization in an efficient way and even cut carbon emission.
