  During the period of 3-day Hong Kong lighting fair 2017 (autumn edition) , the sponsor along with third party carries on a survey, which pointed out that smart home lighting, LED street lights and environment friendly products, and commercial lighting will be most potential in the next year.

Outlook for lighting industry is upbeat

  Qiliang Zhou, the vice president of Hong Kong Trade Development Council, expressed that outlook for lighting industry is upbeat according to relative data and field survey results. “93% respondents believed that smart city and smart home lighting will drive lighting industry forward. The home lighting system linked with smart phones and other portable intelligent equipment, and other home, industrious, and commercial lighting to save energy will be the front and center.

2018 lighting sale to hike up to 16%

  It is estimated that 2018 lighting sale will hike up to 16%, according to the survey results. When asked about which countries are best potential, the large majority of respondents taking a rosy view of China mainland (24%), Japan (17%), and ASEN (17%). As for products, the most potential market is home lighting (29%), LED and the environment friendly products (24%), commercial lighting (16%).

Light with internet

  In this fair, many well-known expert were welcomed to talked about future trend of lighting industry. They all agreed that lighting functions turn to IOT-based lighting with internet instead of pure lighting. Future lighting must connect with internet and the lighting companies should link their lights with internet to hold this chance. And the trend is that light should be connected with cloud platform, sensors, smart mode, and other smart equipment.
