LED Chinese street light is better-than-expected in rainy and foggy days

A project posed by Nanjiang County in Bazhong city to upgrade current existing high pressure sodium lamps to green, less-energy-consumption, high-luminous-effect and longer life span LED Chinese street light. So far, the whole project has been wrapped up and proved to be qualified. Around 70% energy-cutting is achieved compared to previous products. This project is a move in response to national 13th five-year plan call.

In consideration of the points of energy saving, environment protection, safety and comfort, the LED Chinese street light is the best choice as they feature better luminous penetration, higher color rendering index and warmer lower color temperature.

It is universally acknowledged that foggy and rainy days dominate in Nanjiang. And it is inevitable for color and color rendering index in street lighting when it rains and fogs.

Light penetration varies with color temperature. The lower color temperature, the stronger light penetration, otherwise it weaker. Color rendering index in high pressure sodium lamps is about Ra17, and CRI in general LED is Ra65 to Ra80. Lower CRI cause hazy horizon of road movement for drivers and pedestrians, which has a high possibility of leading to the happening of traffic accident. However, LED Chinese street light can kill this possibility.

Therefore, Chinese LED street light, to a certain extent, not only cut the electricity bills and maintenance cost, but can provide positive and actual convenience for people.
