Three suggestions to address LED street light degradation

The point of light degradation in LED street light is temperature. Luminous efficacy in LED street light is larger than home uses, thus more attention need to be paid to heat sink finned board or similar heat sink modular design. And finishing mounting this modular base, paint in the cover is inevitable to protect from climate. Yet this process caps the heat dissipation to cause LED light degradation.
Long-time electricity input efficiency in LED street light cause more heat in modular LED street light, which reduce the its life and luminous effect. Following are three suggestions to address the problem of LED street light degradation effectively.
a. Adopt basic material
Some basic materials could address this problem effectively, such as thermal conductivity glue. Generally speaking, it is considered that the better thermal conductivity is, then the better heat dissipation effect is. However, the thick thermal resistance should be taken into consideration. The thick and high thermal resistance film is an obstacle for heat dissipation.
b. Adopt heat-conducting glue
Soft ceramic thermal conductive glue is a preference for heat dissipation. This is a state of semi liquid. When being applied in aluminum substrate, heat conduction particle will permeate into gap of aluminum substrate. Thus it will cut heat resistance at minimum level to enable heat to get out fastly.
c. Adopt soft ceramic heat sink paint
This paint can be paint in LED street light cover directly, easy installed and high adaptability. This paint increases more heat conduction particles for larger heat dissipating area, which bring better heat dissipation areas.
