BBE Has Installed the First Solar Traffic Lights System in Djibouti
With the recommendation by a trade company in Guangzhou, BBE has cooperated with Djibouti Telecom and installed successfully the first solar traffic lights system in Djibouti, east Africa..
With the invitation from their government, our engineer has travelled to Djibouti since this July for project research, engineering design and pilot project installation support. Based on local environment and conditions, our engineer recommended our solar traffic system with wireless intelligent traffic controllers because of the abundant solar resources and little rains.
So far the pilot project has been done, waiting for the President’s inspection tour, so it’s a big event for their people and BBE, and we BBE feel proud that we can contribute to the safe transportation with our reliable traffic products for people worldwide. After this, our traffic lights system will be widely applied in this country, together with our LED street lights for retrofiting the traditional street lamps.
Djibouti is bordered by Eritrea in the north, Ethiopia in the west and south, and Somalia in the southeast. The remainder of the border is formed by the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden at the east. With a population of about 820,000, it is one of the least populous countries in Africa, so it’s a small but very beautiful country in Africa.
